The quality of materials really stands out. It’s clear that Tiny House Ltd takes pride in building homes that are durable, modern, and comfortable.
The structure itself is a solid 10/10. The roof is straight, the windows seal perfectly, and the electrical rough-in is clean. We are currently doing the interior finishes ourselves, so I can’t speak to their interior design team, but the shell is top-notch.
However, I’m knocking off a couple of stars for the “extras.” The price they quote you on the website is not the price you pay. By the time you add the trailer, the insulation upgrade (which is mandatory if you live anywhere with seasons), and shipping, we were almost 15k over budget. Also, the shipping took three weeks longer than they estimated. They blamed it on the weather, but it felt like poor planning on their end. Just be ready to hold onto your wallet when they offer you the “optional” upgrades. Bring a trailer hitch, because they charge an arm and a leg for those too. Great bones, just be ready for sticker shock.
needed something that could handle snow load and high winds up at 8,000 feet. This thing is a beast. The spray foam insulation they put in is incredible—we stayed warm during a blizzard in March and we don’t even have a wood stove yet, just a small space heater.
The build is sturdy and the metal roof is installed perfectly. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that the solar panel wiring was a little messy. My electrician had to re-do some of the connections because they were loose, which could have been a fire hazard. That said, when I called to complain, they sent me a $200 check to cover the electrician’s fee immediately. No questions asked. I appreciate a company that owns their mistakes. I’d buy from them again.
My husband and I have three dogs and a lot of “stuff.” But we took the plunge with Tiny House LTD. and wow. Just wow. The build quality is insane. We got the “Yellowstone” model, and the craftsmanship is better than any stick-built house I’ve ever lived in. The windows are Anderson, the siding is HardiePlank, and it feels like a tank. We had a few hiccups with the delivery driver getting lost (our driveway is a nightmare), but the project manager, Dave, walked the driver through it over the phone. He was a saint.
We’ve been living in it full-time for three months now, and we are debt-free for the first time in 20 years. The loft is cozy, the kitchen is way more functional than I thought it would be, and the composting toilet was a learning curve, but the support team sent me a video tutorial that fixed our “smell” issue immediately. If you are on the fence, just do it. These guys actually care.
We lived in a 40-foot fifth wheel for three years before we bought this. This isn’t an RV. It’s a house on wheels. You can feel the difference the second you walk in. No cheap particle board. No flimsy cabinets. We got the farmhouse sink and the butcher block counters and it feels like we’re in a real kitchen.
We had a minor issue with the water heater not igniting on the first night, but I called their 24/7 support number (which I didn’t even know existed) and a guy named Curtis walked me through the reset process in ten minutes. Customer service like that is hard to find these days. This is a premium product at a mid-range price. Highly recommend for snowbirds or anyone tired of paying HOA fees. Go for the standing loft, though—the crawl-in ones are too cramped for my 6’2’’ frame.
